Another passion of mine is moving my body. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always loved to listen to a beat, and move my body in whatever way it wanted to. I keep my body moving in three ways each week, I teach and train the Brazilian art form of Capoeira, I teach a class called Power Pop at an amazing women only dance studio in Oakland called Hipline, and I also teach strength training and barre at Equinox Berkeley.
So many studies are out there that talk of the benefits of exercise: releasing endorphins, getting better sleep, improving immunity. I just thrive on it, and also strive each day to give my body everything it needs: water, the right food, a balance of exercises with strength/aerobic/restorative.
